Divisions (removed)

"Divisions" is constructed of wood and twisted steel I-beams. The forms are arranged on the staging area of the amphitheater on the campus of Wright State University. The wooden elements, which are of varying heights, are bolted together and to the concrete. Additionally, the wooden portions have indications of being burned. The I-beams, which are painted brick red, are twisted and jagged. The wood and steel elements are arranged in small groups around the staging area. Emmanuel Levinas' "Totalite' 'et Infini"" is translated into six languages [French (original version of text), Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish and English], and are placed as plaques on separate pieces of the work.
