Fallen Timbers Memorial
1935 / Creator Unknown / Monclova
This item, while not technically a sculpture, is a memorial that is a part of the Fallen Timbers Memorial set (see the Relation field: "Fallen Timbers Memorial"). Since it was created and installed at a separate time, it is listed here separately. This memorial honors the lives of the U.S. soldiers who died during the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
The top part reads,
"On the battlefield of Fallen Timbers, in unmarked graves, rest the brave soldiers of General Anthony Wayne's Legion of the United States and the Kentucky Volunteers, who were killed on August 20, 1794, in the victorious conflict with the Indians and their British Allies."/
