Ohio Police K9 Memorial
2016 / Lena Toritch / Amelia
A life-sized bronze sculpture of a German Shepherd police K9 serves as the centerpiece of the Ohio Police K9 Memorial. The memorial has been built in phases around this work, which was installed in 2016. In May 2018, three granite slabs were added to the memorial (two engraved with the names of sponsored K9s, and one engraved with the anonymously-authored poem "The Guardians of the Night"). The construction of a K9 memorial museum at the site is being planned.
