Sky Sculpture
1980 / Warren Crain / Cleveland
A long swath of colorful fabric, erected for 5 days in the fall of 1980, over the intersection of East Ninth Street and Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland. Installing it took more time (6 hrs) than planned, snarling city traffic, and the piece started ripping apart in the wind and was ordered down by the City. Latr that month the "Triple L Excentric Gyratory III" mobile sculpture was installed at that intersection.
