Union Cemetery Civil War Memorial

This Civil War monument is located in the Union Cemetery in Steubenville, Ohio. It is situated on a hill and surrounded by several graves in a radial pattern.
The tall column of the monument is flanked by a Union soldier holding a gun pointed upwards with his hands on the barrel and the stock resting on the ground (left) and a Union seaman leaning against a ship's anchor with his proper right arm resting on top of it (right.) The monument is topped with an eagle grasping a short blade sitting on a rock.
