Design Assignments 6
September 21 - October 5, 2001

THE SCULPTURE CENTER announces the opening of Design Assignments VI, a collaborative exhibition with the Cleveland Institute of Art. For the sixth consecutive year, THE SCULPTURE CENTER is presenting a juried selection of works from the Cleveland Institute of Art's first and second year 3-D Foundation Design classes. Each work is the product of a lengthy study of how to unify form, material, and function into a work of art. This year's show is a fine example of how diverse and varied the community is at the Institute. The works on exhibit were completed during the 2000-2001 academic year and juried by Ursula Korneitchouk and Charles Tucker both professors at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and THE SCULPTURE CENTER's Bill Jirousek and Nathaniel Parsons.

The Sculpture Center is dedicated to enhancing our community's appreciation of sculpture by fostering the careers of emerging sculptors and promotes the preservation of outdoor sculpture. It is located in University Circle at 1834 East 123rd Street.

Gallery hours: Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. (Free Parking is available.)
