General Moses Cleaveland

Conserved July - August 1996.

The stone pedestal was cleaned. The bronze sculpture’s existing coating was removed. Next corrosion was removed using non-ionic detergent and soft bristle brushes. Weep holes were opened for drainage. The sculpture was re-patinated and hot wax was applied as a protective coating. An additional coating of wax was applied to cold metal, then buffed when dry.
